Terms of Use

Last updated: 25.10.2026

1. Scope and operator

These Terms of Use govern the use of the website www.asset.ch and the services connected with it. The operator is Alexander Baum, a sole proprietorship under Swiss law, c/o RA Matutis, Rheinstrasse 71, CH-7012 Felsberg, e-mail [email protected] (“ASSET.CH”).

These Terms apply to all users: visitors, clients and firms with a profile in the directory. By registering or by sending an enquiry, an offer or a bid, you accept these Terms.

2. Services of ASSET.CH

ASSET.CH is an independent online directory of firms in Switzerland and Liechtenstein that serve wealthy private individuals, entrepreneurs and families. The directory covers 15 categories: Asset Management (independent asset managers), Wealth Management, Private Banking, Family Office, Trading, Private Equity and Venture Capital, Angel Clubs and Investor Networks, Real Estate Investments, Crypto and Digital Assets, Precious Metals and Commodities, Trusts and Foundations, Fiduciary and Tax, Lawyers for Wealth and Business, Insurance for Wealthy Clients, and M&A and Succession.

Clients can search for firms by category, canton, minimum investment, specialisation, client segment, service language, custodian bank and verified supervision. Verified clients can contact firms directly via the contact form in the profile or send a request to several matching firms, which can then send them an offer. Anyone who does not yet know which kind of firm suits them chooses «Still open – I would like advice»; the person is then advised by the firms, not by ASSET.CH. The account also provides a messaging system with encrypted attachments, reporting and blocking of conversations, and support and feedback.

ASSET.CH also runs a help centre and may publish guide articles. These are for general information and do not replace individual advice. The website is available in German, French, Italian and English.

3. No financial service

ASSET.CH is neither a financial service provider within the meaning of the Financial Services Act (FinSA) nor a financial institution within the meaning of the Financial Institutions Act (FinIA). ASSET.CH provides no investment advice, no portfolio management and no tax or legal advice, and does not broker mandates.

ASSET.CH does not negotiate terms, does not accept client money or assets, receives no commissions or retrocessions and is not a party to contracts between users and firms. Offers that firms send via ASSET.CH are offers of the firm concerned; ASSET.CH does not review their content. Contracts are concluded exclusively between clients and firms. The order of the directory, badges and top placements are neither a recommendation nor a rating. The choice of a firm and the review of its authorisations, terms and contracts are your responsibility.

4. User accounts and sign-in

A free account is required to contact firms, to send requests and for a firm profile. When registering, you provide truthful information, keep it up to date and treat your access credentials as confidential. Each person holds only one account; accounts may not be passed on to others.

Sign-in is secured with a second factor: a code sent by e-mail or, if you set one up, an authenticator app. Keep the app’s recovery codes in a safe place. If you choose «Trust this browser», no code is required on that device for a limited period; do not use this option on other people’s or shared devices. ASSET.CH may reject new passwords that are known from data breaches.

If you notice any misuse of your account, change your password, end all sessions under «Security» and inform ASSET.CH without delay at [email protected]. If you have lost access to the authenticator app and to all recovery codes, ASSET.CH may reset the app after verifying your identity. You can delete your account yourself at any time under «Settings».

5. Verification of private individuals

So that firms receive genuine enquiries, clients verify themselves before they contact firms or submit requests: with their confirmed e-mail address, with photos of a valid official ID and a selfie with the ID, which the ASSET.CH team checks, and – where an SMS service is set up – with their mobile number by SMS code. A mobile number can only be linked to one account, and the same ID may not be used for more than one account.

You confirm that the information and documents are genuine and belong to you. ASSET.CH reviews the documents and deletes the images after the decision. There is no entitlement to verification. ASSET.CH may refuse or reset a verification, for example if details do not match, a document appears to have been altered or a number no longer belongs to you.

6. Clients: contact and requests

Use of ASSET.CH is free of charge for clients. With an account, you can keep messages, save firms and save searches with e-mail alerts (daily or weekly). Every alert contains an unsubscribe link.

Direct contact: You write to a firm directly via the contact form in the profile; this requires a verified account (section 5). Information on the size of your assets is voluntary. Whether and how a firm replies is for the firm to decide. Where ASSET.CH allows enquiries without an account, you confirm them via a link sent by e-mail, which is valid for 48 hours; unconfirmed enquiries are deleted after three days.

Request to several firms: You describe your needs in factual terms and without contact details in the text. Matching verified firms see the request without your name and can send an offer. Only when you reply to an offer does that one firm learn your name. A request is visible to firms for no more than 30 days; you can close it at any time. No more than three requests can be open at the same time. ASSET.CH may remove requests that are contrary to these Terms.

7. Firms: registration, verification and review

Firms register with a business e-mail address and their own website. Anyone registering a firm confirms that they are authorised to represent it. One profile is kept per firm. Unconfirmed registrations are deleted after 14 days.

Every firm verifies itself before its profile becomes visible: with its company identification number (UID), proof of its authority to represent (entry as an authorised signatory in the commercial register or a power of attorney from an authorised signatory), an e-mail address on the firm’s domain and photos of a valid official ID of the applicant and a selfie holding the ID. Supporting documents and ID images submitted are stored encrypted and deleted after the decision. If a firm changes its name, UID, website or commercial register link, the «Verified firm» badge is withdrawn until it has been reviewed again.

ASSET.CH reviews every profile before it goes live. There is no entitlement to be listed. ASSET.CH may refuse publication in particular in the case of false information or unlawful content, or where a firm does not fit the directory, for example mass-market providers in the Insurance category or estate agents in the Real Estate Investments category.

The profile is free of charge. Section 13 sets out the details and features it includes.

8. Requests and offers for firms

Verified firms receive requests from private individuals that match their categories, cantons and minimum investments. The firm treats requests as confidential and uses them only to send an offer. It does not attempt to identify or contact the person outside ASSET.CH as long as that person has not replied.

Offers are factual, contain no contact details, no links and no request for payment, and do not promise returns. A firm sends one offer per request, which it can withdraw. ASSET.CH may remove offers that are contrary to these Terms and limit the number of offers.

Receiving requests and sending offers are free of charge. Section 13 applies to any later change.

9. Content and responsibility of firms

  • The firm is responsible for all content of its profile, its messages and its offers, in particular for information on services, minimum investments, supervision and contact details, and keeps it up to date. This also applies to texts created with the text suggestion feature or translated automatically.
  • The firm holds the authorisations and registrations required for its activities and complies with the applicable rules, such as FinIA and FinSA.
  • Firms in the Crypto and Digital Assets category need an authorisation from FINMA or the FMA Liechtenstein or membership of a self-regulatory organisation (SRO) under the Anti-Money Laundering Act (AMLA). Precious metal dealers need a registration or licence from the Central Office for Precious Metals Control (FOCBS), or an authorisation from FINMA or SRO membership. In the Real Estate Investments category only providers of investments are admitted (real estate funds, investment foundations, real estate asset managers, club deals), not estate agents.
  • Misleading, unfair or unlawful information is prohibited, in particular promises of guaranteed returns, statements such as “risk-free” and requests for advance payments.
  • Firms in private equity, venture capital and angel networks publish information about the firm only. Specific funds, investment or subscription offers, return figures and prospectus content are prohibited (CISA, FinSA).
  • The firm answers enquiries under its own responsibility. Advice, contracts and fees concern solely the relationship between the firm and its clients.
  • Changes to the name, website, e-mail address or phone number of a listed firm are reported to the operator and may be reviewed again.

10. Regulatory details and badges

The regulatory details (FINMA, FMA Liechtenstein, self-regulatory organisation, FOCBS, cantonal bar register, FINMA register of insurance intermediaries) are declared by the firm itself. ASSET.CH may compare them with the public register. For firms in the Crypto and Digital Assets and Precious Metals and Commodities categories, ASSET.CH checks the authorisation, registration or SRO membership under section 9 before publication.

The badge «Verified firm» only confirms that ASSET.CH checked the UID and register entry, the authority to represent, the applicant’s ID and the domain at the time of the check. The badge «Regulation verified» only confirms that the regulatory details matched the public register at the time of the check. Badges are neither a recommendation nor a rating of the firm or its services. The firm reports any changes without delay. ASSET.CH may remove badges at any time.

11. Checks and protection against misuse

To protect users, ASSET.CH checks accounts, profiles, supporting documents, messages and requests, including by automated means, for indications of fraud, identity misuse and multiple accounts, for example on the basis of sign-in data, technical characteristics of uploaded files, copied texts or wording typical of investment fraud. When checking supporting documents, ASSET.CH may use AI assistance. These checks only provide indications: decisions on approval, verification or suspension are always made by a human.

Anyone can report a profile via «Report profile». ASSET.CH may display messages with typical signs of investment fraud with a warning. A warning, or the absence of one, is no statement about the trustworthiness of a firm.

In the messaging system, participants can report a conversation (spam, suspected fraud, harassment) and block the other side. With the report, the administration may read the reported conversation. Attachments must not contain malware or content the person is not entitled to share. Translations and text suggestions by the AI are aids: the sending person or firm alone is responsible for the content of a message sent; ASSET.CH does not guarantee the accuracy of translations.

12. AI features

ASSET.CH may offer features using artificial intelligence, in particular automatic translation of profile texts, translation of messages and reply suggestions in the messaging system (only when you click or when you switch on automatic translation yourself), text suggestions for firm profiles, suggestions for profile details from the firm’s website and a help assistant for using the website. AI results may be incomplete or incorrect. Check suggestions and translations before you use them; the firm remains responsible for published content. The help assistant only answers questions about using the website, provides no investment, tax or legal advice and does not recommend firms. Do not enter passwords, codes or ID numbers there.

13. Free use

ASSET.CH is free to use, for private individuals and for firms. For firms this covers registration, verification, the complete profile with logo, description, key figures and contact details, visibility in all filters, team access, additional locations, statistics and the website badge, as well as receiving requests and sending offers. Apart from the optional top placement, there are no orders, no subscription and no payment details.

The order of the directory is neither a recommendation nor a rating of a firm.

Top placement (auction): Where ASSET.CH offers it, verified firms can win top places at auction. For each category and canton, three places for one calendar month are auctioned by sealed bids; bids can be changed until bidding closes (currently the 20th of the previous month) and are binding afterwards. The three highest bids receive a place (for equal amounts, the earlier bid). All winners pay the same price: the highest unsuccessful bid plus CHF 1, at least the minimum bid (currently CHF 50) and at most their own bid. The price is payable by the end of the previous month; without timely payment the place lapses and may be allocated to the next highest bid (sections 15 and 16). Top places are labelled «Sponsored», appear before the other firms on the page of the category and canton concerned and change their order with every page view. There is no entitlement to a certain number of views or enquiries.

ASSET.CH remains free for private individuals. If ASSET.CH later introduces further paid services for firms, ASSET.CH will announce this at least 30 days in advance by e-mail and on the website and will publish the services, prices and conditions at the same time. A service only becomes chargeable once the firm expressly orders it. Without an order, the profile remains visible free of charge.

14. Team access

The owner of the firm account can invite up to five further people. Invitations can only be sent to business e-mail addresses and expire after 14 days. Team access is free of charge.

The firm is responsible for the actions of its team members. It removes access for people who no longer work for it.

15. Invoicing and payment of top placement

For a top place won at auction, the firm receives an invoice in Swiss francs by e-mail after the bids have been evaluated, for the price under section 13. The price is payable by the end of the previous month, by bank transfer with the reference stated or online by card via Stripe; card details are entered directly with Stripe. If a firm moves up to a place that was not paid for, the payment deadline that ASSET.CH communicates to it by e-mail applies.

ASSET.CH charges no commission on mandates and is not involved in contracts between firms and their clients.

16. Term, lapse and refund

A top place applies for the calendar month won at auction. It is not renewed automatically; a new bid is required for each further month.

If payment is not received on time, the place lapses and may be allocated to the firm with the next highest bid. ASSET.CH refunds any payment that is received only after the place has been passed on.

Once the month has begun, the price is not refunded, even if the firm deletes its profile or the profile is suspended for a breach of these Terms. If ASSET.CH cannot display the top place in whole or in part for reasons for which ASSET.CH is responsible, the price is refunded or credited pro rata. Credits are not transferable and are not paid out in cash.

17. Rights to content

The rights to the logos, texts and other content of a profile remain with the firm. The firm grants ASSET.CH, for the duration of publication, a free, non-exclusive right to use this content for operating the directory, in particular to store it, process it technically, translate it into the other languages of the website and display it on the website in all language versions.

The firm warrants that it holds the necessary rights and that its content does not infringe the rights of third parties. The design, brand, software and database of ASSET.CH are protected.

18. Prohibited use and suspension

The following are prohibited in particular:

  • false, misleading or unlawful information and content that infringes the rights of third parties
  • forged, altered or third-party IDs and supporting documents, and accounts under a false identity
  • more than one account per person and the sharing of access credentials
  • mass enquiries, advertising, spam and abusive messages, requests or offers
  • the use of contact details from the directory or from requests for unsolicited advertising
  • circumventing the anonymity of requests, for example by including contact details in requests or offers
  • automated extraction or systematic copying of the directory
  • interference with the security or operation of the website and circumvention of access restrictions or checks

In the event of a breach of these Terms or of applicable law, or a well-founded suspicion of one, ASSET.CH may request changes, remove content, requests and offers, reset verifications, refuse, suspend or delete profiles and suspend or delete accounts. ASSET.CH informs those concerned where this is possible and reasonable. ASSET.CH accepts reports of incorrect or unlawful content via «Report profile» or at [email protected]. Details are given in the legal notice.

19. Liability and availability

ASSET.CH gives no warranty for the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of the information provided by firms, of offers or of the results of AI features and automated checks. ASSET.CH is not liable for the content of firm profiles, for the services, offers, advice, investment results or actions of firms, or for the services of third parties such as payment providers or linked websites. Decisions on investments and mandates are your own responsibility.

To the extent permitted by law, the liability of ASSET.CH is excluded. Liability for intent and gross negligence and any other mandatory statutory liability remain reserved.

ASSET.CH strives for reliable operation but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, security measures and disruptions at third parties may lead to interruptions. ASSET.CH may develop, change or discontinue features.

20. Data protection

ASSET.CH processes personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Details are given in the privacy policy. Enquiries are forwarded to the firm selected; requests to several firms are initially forwarded without your name. The firm processes the data it receives under its own responsibility. ASSET.CH does not sell data.

21. Changes to these Terms

ASSET.CH may amend these Terms. The current version is published on this page with its date. ASSET.CH notifies registered users of material changes, in particular the introduction of charges, by e-mail at least 30 days before they take effect; other changes apply from publication. Anyone who continues to use ASSET.CH thereafter accepts the amended version. Top places already awarded are not affected by changes to prices and conditions.

22. Applicable law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed exclusively by substantive Swiss law, excluding the conflict of laws rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). The place of jurisdiction is Chur (canton of Graubünden, Switzerland). Mandatory statutory places of jurisdiction, in particular for consumers, remain reserved.

Should any provision of these Terms be invalid, the remaining provisions remain valid.
