About ASSET.CH
Last updated: 25.10.2026
ASSET.CH is an independent online directory for asset management and related services in Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Wealthy private individuals, entrepreneurs and families use it to find asset managers, private banks, family offices, fiduciaries, lawyers and other specialist firms in 15 categories and to contact them directly. ASSET.CH is operated by Alexander Baum as a sole proprietorship under Swiss law.
What ASSET.CH is
ASSET.CH presents firms in consistent profiles so that they can be compared. The directory covers all 26 Swiss cantons and Liechtenstein and is available in German, French, Italian and English.
You can search by category, canton, minimum investment, specialisation, client segment, service language, custodian bank and verified supervision. With a free, verified account, you send your enquiry directly to the firm through the contact form in its profile. If you do not yet know which kind of firm suits you, choose «Still open – I would like advice» when sending a request; you are then advised by the firms, not by ASSET.CH. Guide articles explain the basics, for example the costs of asset management or the choice between a trust or a foundation.

How we check firms
Firms register with a business e-mail address, their own website and a link to their entry in the commercial register. Before a profile goes live, the ASSET.CH team verifies the firm: UID and commercial register entry, the signing authority or power of attorney of the applicant, their official ID with selfie, and the e-mail domain and website. The profile then carries the «Verified firm» badge. ID images and supporting documents are stored encrypted and deleted after the decision.
Regulatory information is provided by the firms themselves. This includes, for example, an authorisation from FINMA or the FMA Liechtenstein, membership of a self-regulatory organisation (SRO) under the Anti-Money Laundering Act, a registration or licence from the Central Office for Precious Metals Control (FOCBS), an entry in a cantonal bar register or in the FINMA register of insurance intermediaries. ASSET.CH checks this information against the public register. Crypto providers are only listed with a FINMA authorisation or SRO membership, and precious metal dealers only with a registration or licence from the FOCBS or with a FINMA authorisation or SRO membership. The Real Estate Investments category lists only providers of investments (real estate funds, investment foundations, real estate asset managers, club deals), not estate agents.
What «Regulation verified» means: the badge only confirms that the regulatory information matched the public register at the time of the check. It is neither a recommendation nor a rating of the firm. Our guide FINMA, supervisory organisation, ombudsman’s office explains the background.
Firms are responsible for the accuracy of their profiles. If a listed firm changes its name, website, e-mail address or phone number, the operator is notified. ASSET.CH may refuse, suspend or remove profiles, for example in the case of false information or unlawful content.
How ASSET.CH is financed
ASSET.CH is free of charge for clients. For firms, too, listing, profile, verification, requests and contact are free of charge.
The only paid option for firms is top places, where ASSET.CH offers them: for each category and canton, at most three places are auctioned every month by sealed bids. Top places appear at the top of the page for the category and canton, are labelled «Sponsored» and change their order with every page view. The details are set out in the Terms of Use, section 13.
ASSET.CH charges no commissions on enquiries and receives no retrocessions. More information is available on the For firms page.
What ASSET.CH does not do
ASSET.CH is a directory. It is neither a financial service provider within the meaning of FinSA nor a financial institution within the meaning of FinIA.
ASSET.CH provides no investment advice and no portfolio management, does not broker mandates and does not negotiate terms. ASSET.CH does not accept client money or assets and is not a party to the contracts between you and the firms. You discuss terms, risk profile and investment strategy directly with the firm of your choice.
Frequently asked questions
Who runs ASSET.CH?
ASSET.CH is operated by Alexander Baum as a sole proprietorship under Swiss law, c/o RA Matutis in Felsberg (Canton of Graubünden). Full details are given in the legal notice.
What does ASSET.CH cost for clients?
Nothing. Searching, viewing profiles, your account, contacting firms and sending enquiries are free of charge. With your client account you can keep your messages, save firms and save searches, with daily or weekly e-mail alerts if you wish.
Do I need an account to contact a firm?
Yes, a free, verified client account. You confirm your e-mail address and identify yourself with an official ID and a selfie, which the ASSET.CH team checks; where an SMS service is set up, you also confirm your mobile number by SMS code. This ensures that firms receive only genuine enquiries. You can search and compare without an account.
Is the order in the directory a recommendation?
No. Only top places labelled «Sponsored» appear first; their order changes with every page view. Neither the order nor the «Verified firm» and «Regulation verified» badges are a rating of the firms.
How is a firm added to ASSET.CH?
The firm registers with a business e-mail address, its own website and a link to the commercial register, and verifies itself with its UID, signing authority or a power of attorney and the official ID of the applicant with a selfie. The profile goes live once ASSET.CH has reviewed it. Listing is free of charge, and the details are set out on the For firms page.
