Guide values as stated by the firms, without guarantee from ASSET.CH, sorted from the lowest to the highest. Sponsored places have no influence. The terms of the individual offer are binding. Not a rating and not a recommendation.

What the costs are made up of

Asset management usually costs a percentage of the assets managed per year. The higher the assets, the lower the rate tends to be – which is why firms state their guide values by wealth tier.

Watch the fee model: an all-in fee also covers the bank’s custody fees and transaction costs. With a pure management fee, these costs come on top. Two identical rates are therefore not always equally expensive. Depending on the firm, VAT, product costs of funds and a performance fee may be added.

In the first meeting, ask for all costs in francs for your assets and how retrocessions are handled. Through ASSET.CH you can send your request free of charge to several firms and compare the offers.

Frequently asked questions about the fee calculator

Where do the values come from?

Firms state guide values voluntarily in their ASSET.CH profile: a typical rate per year for each wealth tier. The calculator takes the rate of the tier your amount falls into and converts it into francs per year.

Are the amounts binding?

No. They are the firms’ guide values. Only the terms of the individual offer are binding; they depend on your investment goals, the strategy and the custodian bank.

What is the difference between an all-in fee and a management fee?

The all-in fee covers asset management and the usual bank costs such as custody fees and transactions. With a management fee, you pay the bank costs separately. Where possible, compare firms with the same model or ask for the total costs.

What are retrocessions?

Retrocessions are payments that product providers such as fund companies make to a financial service provider. Under the Financial Services Act (FinSA), the provider may keep them only if it has informed you beforehand and you have expressly waived them. The profile shows how a firm handles them.

Do sponsored places affect the order?

No. The calculator sorts solely by guide value, from the lowest to the highest. Sponsored places apply only in the directory, where they are marked «Sponsored».

Why don’t I see a median?

The lowest, middle and highest values appear only once at least 3 firms state a guide value for your selection. Otherwise, choose a broader selection, such as all cantons.
